Project Overview

PayTym is a comprehensive HR and payroll management platform developed for a Fiji-based client who aimed to offer it as a SaaS product to businesses across the region. Designed for both web and mobile platforms, PayTym provides robust modules for employers, administrators, and employees—delivering efficiency, compliance, and transparency in HR operations. The platform is tailored specifically to align with Fiji’s payroll structures, tax regulations, and employee management norms

Background

The client’s objective was to develop a product that could be sold to multiple companies in Fiji, offering them a unified, localized HR and payroll system. At the time, many businesses in Fiji were relying on manual processes or generic international software that lacked support for local tax rules, salary regulations, or employee benefits structures. The challenge was to build a feature-rich, multi-tenant HRMS that:

  • Aligns with Fiji’s legal and financial compliance requirements
  • Supports dynamic subscription models
  • Offers a seamless experience across desktop and mobile
  • Provides flexibility for businesses of different sizes and sectors

The Solution

We designed and developed PayTym as a scalable and modular HRMS solution featuring:

  • A Super Admin Panel to manage the platform as a product (subscriptions, employers, website content)
  • A Customizable Employer Panel for day-to-day HR operations and payroll management
  • A Mobile App for Employees, giving end-users direct access to their HR data and workflows

The solution includes logic for Fiji-specific tax brackets, statutory deductions, payroll cycles, and leave policies. This localized functionality makes PayTym a go-to solution for Fijian businesses, reducing dependency on external customization.
